it’s that time of year.

I watched the entire second season of American Horror Story in two days. I have 1 15 page paper due Wednesday and 2 20 page papers due Thursday … today is Sunday
It is 2:30 PM. I have not yet eaten today (except for coffee, natch…). But if I wait three more hours, I can go grocery shopping under cover of darkness AKA without having to shower/dress like a normal adult human beforehand.
Apparently reading 10 pages of Leviathan is enough to make me feel like I’ve accomplished something. On to Full House reruns!
Who needs a valentine when you have a dissertation?
More excited that I’m keeping pace at reading 200 pages a day than I am about anything related to Valentine’s Day.
Except post-Valentine’s Day candy sales. Get on it, y’all.
I’m all done with courses but I haven’t yet started studying for qualifying exams. I’m so bored I scrubbed my kitchen grout today.
The only way that I can get work done is on facetime with my fellow grad student friends in other states. Otherwise I would be in bed watching homeland episodes on repeat and eating m&ms for every meal.
Why does study in the library always have a soundtrack of a cougher or sniffler? Why can these people not just stay home when they are sick? I don’t think I’ve studied at the library once in perfect silence; there’s always been some disgusting grad student who doesn’t know enough about personal hygiene to either STAY AT HOME or at least take some goddamn DayQuil. I honestly believe these people want to make others sick and compound everyone’s misery. Happy flu season everyone!
